Purchase & signup privacy

Free signup and email confirmation

When Free downloads open, we will collect your signup email, confirmation status, signup and download dates, and downloaded version. We will use this information to confirm access and provide download and service messages. Source information may include referral or campaign parameters supplied with the signup, subject to the applicable tracking choices. Unknown sources remain unknown.

Purchases and matching

Paddle will process payment and collect the information needed for payment, fraud prevention, tax, receipts, and its legal obligations under Paddle’s privacy notice. We will receive purchase and license information needed to deliver and support the product, including the purchase email, transaction reference, purchased product/version, and refund state. We do not receive your full payment-card number.

We will match a purchase to an existing signup using the same email address. A matched contact will be marked as a purchaser so that messages can reflect the edition and version they own. Purchases with no signup or known campaign source remain possible and may be unattributed.

Marketing choices

Optional marketing consent will be separate from Free-download confirmation and product purchasing. Where you opt in, we may use source, download version, and purchaser status to select relevant tutorials, offers, and updates. Confirmation of an email address does not itself authorize every type of promotional campaign. You may unsubscribe from marketing without losing an existing Free download or paid license.

Retention and rights

Unconfirmed Free signup records will be removed after seven days unless another lawful retention need applies. We retain confirmed download and license records as needed for access, support, security, and lawful obligations. Marketing eligibility ends when consent is withdrawn. Transaction records may be retained for accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal compliance. Normal backups rotate separately.

To request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of marketing consent, email support@licklab.net. We may verify your identity and preserve records required for legal obligations or existing licenses.

Local audio processing

Signup and checkout do not upload your music. LickLaboratory’s application audio workflows run locally, as described in our existing privacy policy. Do not send audio or diagnostics to support unless you choose to do so.
